Vinny
Thanks again for everything. Joey and Vinny (Bentley and Barkley) are great additionsto the family! They are settling in nicely and haven't destroyed too much of the house. ;)
We will keep you updated with their progress and send pictures as they grow up. It's funny as we are not seeing any of the sheltie side yet.
Thanks again,
John, Lynn, Hannah and Lily
Hi Colleen
Sorry for just getting back to you, I was traveling and wasn't sure what the brand of heart worm medication was-its called Heartgard and they have a couple of doses already with no problems. We just got them neutered on the 11th. That has been an interesting experience to say the least! Trying to keep the 2 of them calm is impossible. They are doing well and I will send over the paperwork to you this weekend verifying that they have been neutered and that they have received all of their shots. Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to bring them into our home.
John
Tink
Tink just melted our hearts when she came! We hadn't any applications come in but all it took was one person asking to see all the pugs in our rescue and Kevin showed up with 3 bandaids on saying she bit him and drew blood! NOT! That's when I realized he could not adopt her out. Every night I took a picture of him and her asleep in the livingroom and sent them to Lynn saying "Just another night at the McKain's!" So we fostered failed for the first time with Tink our lil' girl. We had to make Jill her God/dog mother!
Cody McKain
Cody was suppose to be owned by a lady from Harrisburg. She had lost then found him. She had no clue it was not her dog. He was too young (4yrs difference) and didn't even look like her dog's pictures. She said she couldn't handle him anymore! So he came to live with us. He did go to what he thought was his new home in York PA but it turned out that his "brother" didn't have the energy to keep playing and got snippy toward Cody so in less than 24 hours he came back home to us. He liked returning to play with PeeWee his best bud! It didn't take long till Brad and Michelle from York, PA, spotted him and added him to their family. When we arrived to their home Cody ran along side his new "sister" in the fenced in back yard. He just loved running free! It was so cool to see him happy and playing with his new family!
Bailey
Bailey and Benji were given up by their owners along with their 6 siblings and momma (white shephard). 2nd Chance stepped up and 4 fosters took all 8 pups. Benji and Bailey looked to be from a different litter but they must of taken their looks from their daddy, a collie. It wasn't long before there was an application in for the 2 of them! They now live in Elizabethtown taking walks with their big brother McGuiver (lowrider) and new mommy and daddy Shawn and Kara! They live so close to their Auntie Lynn, basically in her backyard!
Holly
Unfortunately Holly thought she had found her forever home, but only after 3 weeks, a sudden illness in her new family found her back at 2nd Chance .They could not take care of her. We welcomed her back with open arms, feeling bad for the family and Holly. It didn't take long before she was spotted by Kim and Curt from NJ. They sent us an email to update us on her. . .We have renamed her Gracie and she already knows her name. She is just the sweetest girl! Curt and I are so in love with her! The other night it was 9:45 and I couldn't find her in the house. I went upstairs and she was already laying on our bed ready to go to sleep. She just adores Ella my granddaughter. The other day they played catch outside and then came in and took a two-hour nap together on my bed. Olive and Gracie are two peas in a pod....right now they are outside exploring the backyard chasing birds and squirrels. Gracie loves to bury her biscuits and then dig them up and move them! Too cute!
