Poor little Cassie was brought to the high kill shelter. Her owner, we believe, made up a story that she had found her with a collar and a note attached to it that said "help me". We do not believe this story because while we were at the shelter the lady who we believe was her owner showed up crying to visit her. Cassie started crying like crazy and wanted to get to the lady. Her reaction was way to intense to have been towards someone she did not really know. It was absolutely heartbreaking!!! When I asked the woman if she understood how hard it was on poor Cassie to see her and not be able to leave with her the woman said she knew but she wanted to have the shelter lady take her out of the cage so she could pet her and then put her back. Sometimes humans are soooooo cruel !!! The lady petted her and put poor, confused Cassie back in the cage! I vowed at that time that Cassie would come with us and get a chance to live and be loved by a very special human who valued her and made her family. If you feel you are that person please apply. Wouldn't it be wonderful if Cassie could have a Christmas to share with her forever family!!! Wow! what a sweet, sweet little girl. Don't hesitate. They don't come any nicer than her. Great with everyone she meets and gets along with other dogs. She really love her bully rub. Loves to play but when she is done will cuddle right next to you as you relax. You must meet her, I can't imagine why anyone would have given up this sweet little girl. Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs.
