Join Our Pack! On a daily basis, we have new foster dogs and cats coming into the system that need medical care, such as insulin, heart meds, allergy meds etc. Won't you be part of the pack and help with a monthly donation?
2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs. Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families. We have many sponsorship dogs. Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :) So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue. Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding. Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!

UPDATE: 6-20-12 Hey everyone, it's hot out there today! Thought I would put on my snowman hat and maybe it will get cooler???? Whaddayathink?!!! I'm staying indoors as much as I can so I don't melt away! I think I look pretty cool as a snowman, don't you? My foster mommy's granddaughters love to dress me up and I don't mind at all cause I just love being the center of attention!
Hi! My name is Tinkerbelle. The shelter was calling me Phyllis Diller and I guess you can see why the shelter named me that but I am the sweetest most loveable little girl you ever want to meet. My foster mommy and daddy said I deserved a better name than that so they started to call me Tinkerbelle and I answer to that because I like that much better! I will warn you though, I LOVE to give you tons of kisses! I also love to sit on someone's lap. I just jump right in there and make myself comfortable. I was found wondering around at an airport out in the country with my friend but I now found out what it is like to have a nice house to live in. I really like my other small doggie friend's at my foster home but when I get to go to Meet & Greet's I get in trouble because I try to boss the big dogs around and since I am so small my foster mommy doesn't let me do that. Im ust find a home that does not have any big dogs because I am so tiny. I am learning real fast how to go potty outside but I MUST have a fenced in yard because I would love to go for a fast run if I could. My foster mommy and daddy say that people think I look a little funny because it looks like somebody put something they call eyeliner on my right eye but forgot to put it on my left eye so everybody thinks something is wrong with my left eye but my eye is just fine. I guess I'm just not real fancy looking but I am a very good doggie and would love to find my forever home so I don't ever have to adjust to anywhere else again.
Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.
A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
