Pretty Penelope is a GREAT GIRL!!!! such a nice girl.. and loving..and sweet... was found wandering rural roads. Was very clean when she came in. Acts like she has been a house dog..on top of her head and between her eyes have areas that have healed that were wounded. they do not seem to bother her.. a lovely girl.. does fine with the other dogs and seems fine with cats.. approx 1-2yo and approx 40lbs? Will be a loyal family member!!!
Penny knows she is not a lap puppy, but she has no problem cuddling beside any member of her foster family. We are working on shaking, seem to have mastered taking food from her family nicely and comes to "Penny" whenever called. Penny is already housebroken and has no problem indicating when she needs to visit the outside facilities. Penny is absolutely gorgeous when she lifts her right front leg and straightens out her tail to point out something that interests her. Never a truer lady, has she been, since walking through the door to her foster home from the high kill shelter. This lady is grateful for her temporary home and is hoping to find her forever home real soon!!
Penny LOVES playing in the snow. Almost as much as she likes playing with smaller dogs. Penny spends alot of time giving the end of her stuffed animal to her little shih tzu friend and gently dragging her across the floor so the little dog can take the animal and they can do it all over again.

Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs.
