Sponsor a Dog Today!
Sponsoring a dog can help defray some or all of the costs behind getting him or her ready for adoption into their forever family. To bring a dog into a rescue from a shelter requires a ‘pull’ fee that helps to cover the cost the shelter put into initial vetting, vaccinations and spay/neutering the dog. This can be as much as $250 per dog and may or may not include transportation to get them close to Pennsylvania. Additionally, some dogs need more extensive intervention once they enter rescue: dentals, treatment for infections or kennel cough, grooming & nail clipping, senior panels for older dogs, routine vaccinations for puppies, other medical necessities that are unique to each dog, and for some special training.
Sponsors are paired with a particular dog to help pull them from a shelter or fund special medical needs. Each sponsor will receive a certificate and picture of the dog they are sponsoring and (if they wish) be kept up to date on their dogs antics and progress while in foster care. Or, if you’d rather, you can offer an ongoing service, or sponsor an event, newsletter or other function of 2nd Chance 4 Life. You choose!
